About us....

.Karen and Chad met in late 1999 in an online chat room called "Florida Chat". Just 3 years later Chad had made plans to pack up his belongings & move to Quebec, Canada to be with Karen. Chad had always aspired to become a photographer and Karen was already an accomplished journalist having worked for Quebec's oldest English weekly newspaper, and a photographer as well as the owner of a Quebec Community Newspaper and a website devoted to that newspaper. Karen and Chad both have a love for road trips and have folded that love into their hobbies of Photography and Journalism.

Update Aug, 2008 Chad quit his job of 3.5 years as a driver of a cube truck for a Vermont Customs Broker to return to school and get a DEP in Heavy Truck Driving. He graduate(s)(ed) in January 2009

In Late 2008 Karen was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer, She's undergone a few surgeries and radiation to treat her cancer along with a complete hysterectomy. Her whole story is available in blog entries under "Karen's Articles" to the right. She has also started the Quebec chapter of the National Cervical Cancer Coalition. Mission Statement.
To help women, family members and caregivers battle the personal issues related to cervical cancer and HPV and To advocate for cervical health in all women by promoting prevention through education
about early vaccination, Pap testing regularly

The National Cervical Cancer Coalition (NCCC) Provides the following:
A support network for cervical cancer patients and their families when faced with the difficulties of a cervical cancer diagnosis and persistent HPV disease.
Development of multi-language educational materials focused on reaching underserved and uninsured women to improve access.
A clearinghouse to provide cervical cancer information to organizations and the public with the latest information on cervical cancer disease.

Pour aider les femmes, les membres de leur famille et les travailleurs sociaux à lutter les issues personnelles liées au cancer du col de l'utérus et au VPH. La Coalition Nationale de Cancer du Col de l'Utérus (NCCC) fournit ce qui suit:
